Impetigo Infection

We have a suspected case of Impetigo at school.  Please read the attached letter for more information.

If you suspect your child may have the impetigo infection you MUST take your child to your GP as impetigo is very infectious.  Children diagnosed with impetigo should remain out of school until the sores have stopped blistering or crusting or until 24 hours after starting appropriate antibiotic treatment.

Please DO NOT send your child to school if they are showing symptoms of impetigo.  We will have to send them back home so you can take them to your GP and have their symptoms diagnosed.

Any queries please contact the school office.
