Year 6 Parent Information

Year 6 is an important time in your child's primary school journey, and we will be certain to accept challenges as learning opportunities; relish the responsibility that comes as part of being the oldest in the school; and make the most of our remaining moments with our Hope family.

The year ahead is jam-packed full of lots of learning opportunities:

In English, we will be delving into a range of texts, whilst developing our writing using our new scheme 'Writing for Pleasure'. These will provide us with lots of writing opportunities, producing both fiction and non-fiction pieces.

Our maths this year will focus on consolidating and deepening our understanding of key mathematical concepts alongside reasoning using mathematical language as well as the introduction of some new topics such as algebra.
