SENCO for Hope Community School, Southampton.
Salary – up to MPS 6 + TLR £4,527 (1 day a week, 0.2 equivalent)

We are recruiting  a passionate and enthusiastic SENCO to work 1 day a week. If you are looking for an adventure and an opportunity to start our school from Reception then we would like to hear from you.

New Generation Schools Trust working with the local community in the centre of Southampton are opening Hope Community School to meet the increasing demand for places in the local area. Through a Christian ethos and strategically planned personalised curriculum delivered in partnership with other outstanding education partners, the school will provide an excellent education experience for children and families. With our child-centred, family-focused and community-oriented approach to education we will enable our pupils to achieve fantastic things.

We are looking for a well educated, flexible and confident team player who is an outstanding SENCO and has a track record of securing outstanding progress for children with different special educational needs.

We can offer you a very friendly and supportive working environment in our community focused school. 

We will appoint someone who:

-Has a clear understanding of how to best support the learning of children with a variety of special educational needs.

-Has a track record of securing good to outstanding progress of children with SEN.

-Has a good knowledge of the Foundation Stage and Primary curriculum with a comprehensive grasp of management and whole school issues;

-Has experience of leadership and management of the curriculum;
